Where's my money gone ?
I logged into HDFC Bank’s Netbanking today morning to check on my account balance. WTF, I deposited 20K a few days ago and where is it ?
Two different pages on the netbanking site show two different account balances; apparently the developers who wrote the banking application use different models behind both the web pages

The banks show two kinds of account balances

Account Balance available for Withdrawal:
The names could vary but what it means is that the amount you deposited is not available for withdrawal at the bank or atm because the cash has not moved(either from bank to bank or atm to bank). But they have the knowledge of the amount coming their way(hence the entry in the ledger).
This is why you see the different amounts. Also in your case the disclaimers on top of attachment 1 indicate what I have said above.
Banks under no circumstance can show wrong amounts on your statement – because that would be cheating and legal offense for which you can sue them.
So there is nothing wrong with the website.. Although certainly the UI could have been designed better.
My bank shows me both amounts next to each other at all times and hence I know what they mean.
