Announcing SWTBot 1.0

with 3 comments

I just made new release of SWTBot – 1.0

Direct download link: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=188411&package_id=220519&release_id=601136

Update site: http://swtbot.sourceforge.net/latest/update-site/

Some features:

  • A recorder API — now you can record SWTBot scripts. Still in beta though.
  • Better SWTBot integration in eclipse — now you can run tests within eclipse.
  • More API — now you can use more SWT controls using an even richer API.
  • More stable than before.

For more details, you can read up on the release notes here.

  1. excellent news!

I’m going to try it now.

what I don’t understand is: why isn’t the effort put on the development/improvement of TPTP ?!

  2. @André,

TPTP is a beast by itself. It’s huge, has a high learning curve, and does a whole bunch of stuff, AGR happens to be one of them.

SWTBot is on the other hand is simple, lightweight, and is a pure driver.

There is a proposal to move SWTBot to eclipse.org: http://wiki.eclipse.org/SWTBot/Proposal Do feel free to add your comments there :)

  3. Any plans to add support to SWTBot for the SWT standard file dialog?
