Having found some time off from my regular work, I’ve decided to play catchup with Ruby, more specifically the Ruby-on-rails stack.

I’ve downloaded ruby 1.8.5, and ruby gems, the package manager.

• the language
• the documentation, and the way it is organized
• some good ruby enthusiasts (read: bloggers)
• frameworks available, I found out there’s a RubyForge
• “help wanted” on open-source ruby projects

So I’ve announced to my team and bosses that I’ll be leaving OESI on 31^st October.

Official list of things to do:

1. Make a list of passwords for all the computers on the network, email addresses
2. The IP addresses and the address schema used at office
3. Delete private stuff on all the hard disks

Personal things to do before I leave:

1. Copy over personal data (get DVDs, HDDs from home)
2. Delete personal data from 1. All the computers. 2. The network shares, 3. Hidden places
3. Movies from Neetij
4. Move this blog to a hosting provider, (mt) is my favourite
5. Copy over my thunderbird profile+mails to a CD
6. Make a copy of all my passwords saved in my browser
7. Copy over my browser bookmarks (google browsersync )
